Earlier this summer, the Democrats proposed legislation that would've frozen a lower-tier wage for well over 200,000 workers, denying them at least $3/hour of wages starting next year! We organized and forced the Democrats to temporarily back off - but they’ve made it clear they aren’t done trying to undermine Seattle’s hard-won, highest-in-the-nation minimum wage, despite the brutal ongoing housing affordability and cost of living crises. Join Workers Strike Back and Kshama Sawant at City Hall on Tuesday Sept 3 at 2pm to tell Councilmembers “hands off our minimum wage!”.
