PETITION — Build for Strikes & Mass Protests to End the Wars & Stop Mass Deportations

An injury to one is an injury to all!

The bosses and both their political parties rely on dividing workers to maximize profits and exploitation. Former President Barack Obama still holds the record for the greatest number of deportations in a single term. President Joe Biden enacted the most draconian policy by any President against immigrants appealing for asylum. This has paved the way for Donald Trump to carry out his threat of a “shock and awe” campaign of mass deportations, including the threat of workplace raids.

Both parties also continue to fund the wars in Ukraine, the Middle East, and military escalation with China, which have forced millions to flee their homes. This is on top of the policies of economic exploitation, coups and regime change, and climate catastrophe, which along with war are the leading causes of forced migration.

We call on unions and the labor movement to:

  • Stand against all attacks on immigrant workers, including mass deportations and the wars that displace millions

  • Organize strikes in response to any workplace raids by the Trump administration or any future administration, and a mass protest on Inauguration Day in solidarity with immigrant workers

  • Oppose all military aid to Israel to end the genocide and escalation of war in the Middle East
