Rehire Ed Clarke now!

By Workers Strike Back

Workers Strike Back stands with Amazon workers at the KCVG Air Hub in northern Kentucky, who are facing vicious retaliation from the company for their efforts to organize a union.

Amazon has fired a pro-union worker in Bessemer, AL & five others at the KCVG AirHub in KY, including Ed Clarke. These are blatant attacks on workers unionizing to demand better, like a $30/hr starting wage. Amazon has a long track record of illegal retaliation against workers like Ed who dare to stand up to the bosses and billionaires who run the company, and this is another blatant attack on workers who are fighting back and organizing for better conditions.

Workers Strike Back is making a donation of $500 to Unionize Amazon KCVG, to support their demand to reinstate Ed immediately with full back pay, and their demands of a $30 an hour starting wage, 180 hours paid time off, and a union. We urge all unions and workers’ organizations to join us in donating to demand reinstatement for Ed and all workers unjustly fired for supporting the union. An injury to one is an injury to all! We will be organizing around the country against these vicious attacks and in solidarity with the courageous workers at KCVG.

Amazon is engaging in this blatant retaliation because they know that pro-union workers like Ed pose a threat to the massive profits being hoarded by executives and wealthy shareholders. KCVG workers are putting forward bold demands, like a $30 an hour starting wage, that have resonated with hundreds of workers at KCVG. Amazon knows that if workers get organized and fight, we can win demands like these. Amazon also knows that a victory at KCVG, the largest Amazon Air Hub in the world, would be a massive step forward in the fight to unionize Amazon everywhere.

We need to not only fight like hell against unjust firings and anti-union retaliation, and support critical campaigns like at KCVG—we also need unions and a national workers’ movement that will mobilize and commit resources to defend workers when they are up against powerful companies like Amazon.

Workers Strike Back stands with Ed Clarke, Amazon workers at KCVG, and all workers fighting to win representation and better conditions for themselves and their families. Join the fight at workersstrikeback.org and help to build a national movement that can beat Amazon and win what working people need.
