KANSAS CITY MONTHLY MEETING — How to Fight Trump's Attacks — No Abductions — No Deportations

  • Plaza Public Library - Large Meeting Room 4801 Main Street Kansas City, MO, 64112 United States (map)

Trump has dramatically escalated the attacks on unions, immigrants, and the antiwar movement, arresting Mahmoud Khalil in his home at Columbia University in retaliation for his involvement in campus antiwar protests. Columbia fired and expelled Grant Miner, President of UAW 2710, the Columbia grad worker union, also for his involvement in the protests.

Trump has been emboldened by the lack of the fightback from Democrats and business unionist leaders. As a result, Trump’s ICE has abducted many more activists, including Tufts University student Rumeysa Ozturk, Badar Khan Suri, Alfredo Juarez, and deported many like Rasha Alawieh.

We need massive protests, civil disobedience, and mass strike actions to Free Rümeysa and Mahmoud and others, stop these abductions, end the genocide, and win what workers need. We need to unite the antiwar and labor movements, and organize independently of the Democratic and Republican Parties.
